Creative Media Sector - Session 3 - Other Media Companies.
As explained in the last post, in this unit you will be building a kind of guide to the media industries - companies, jobs and professional practice - which we will tick off one by one. For now we're just writing about company structure. We started two weeks ago by looking at the GAMES INDUSTRY. If you've completed this you need to move on to the FILM INDUSTRY. If you've completed that as well I need you to now tell me about AT LEAST TWO OTHER MEDIA COMPANIES. Do this in the following way.
1. Open up a new heading in the blogpost - CREATIVE MEDIA SECTOR - OTHER MEDIA COMPANIES.
2. Then choose TWO from the following . . . .
Interactive Media company (website/streaming service)
Music company (record label or hosting platform like Spotify/Soundcloud)
Radio station/company (either an individual station or a company that owns several radio stations)
3. Get headings, names & logos in according to what you've chosen. So for example - heading 'MUSIC COMPANY', name SPOTIFY +spotify logo
3. Using your own research answer me these questions about the TWO companies you've chosen. .
- where are they based?
- do they have other headquarters around the world?
- where do they distribute their products - all over the world or just US or EU or Japan?
- do they own any subsidiary media companies? Other smaller companies or studios?
- any other info you can find - how many people do they employ? How much profit/revenue do they make?
